The local picture

What homes here need

West Texas is a dry-heat, hard-water market, and both of those conditions show up in the work we are asked to do. Municipal and well water across the Permian Basin and South Plains carries a heavy mineral load, so scale builds inside water heaters, fixtures and appliances, and homeowners notice it in spotting, stiff laundry and short appliance life long before anything fails outright. Whole-home filtration and softening are among the most common reasons people call us out here.

The other constant is sun and wind. Long, intense cooling seasons and wide day-to-night temperature swings put real load on roofing materials and on attic insulation, and blowing dust works its way into anything that is not sealed properly. Air sealing and attic insulation often do more for comfort in Midland, Odessa, Lubbock, Abilene and San Angelo homes than upsizing equipment would, so we usually look at the attic before recommending a larger system.

Questions

West Texas FAQs

Will a water softener help with the hard water here?
Usually, yes — but the right system depends on what is actually in your water. We start by understanding your water source and conditions before recommending equipment.
Which cities do you cover in West Texas?
Midland, Odessa, Lubbock, Abilene and San Angelo, along with the surrounding communities.
Is insulation worth doing before replacing the AC?
Often it is. Air sealing and attic insulation reduce the load on the system, and in some homes that can sometimes allow for a smaller system. We will evaluate both together.
